Testimonies
from the Fields
“I came to know the Lord through
the wife of Pastor Jason. Omega teaches the children near the
port where my family and I live. I attended the children’s
outreach one day because I was very interested in the stories
she tells. Afterwards, I asked her if I could help her in some
way and she said yes. Omega invited me to attend the youth fellowship
and so one Sunday afternoon, I went. There were many first-timers
there so Omega shared the gospel with us. I began to believe
that God’s love for me is so great because I am truly a
sinner. I have committed so many sins in my lifetime. I used
to fight with my mother so much and I knew it was wrong. It was
that afternoon I received Christ into my life. I am now going
to church every Sunday and help Omega at the children’s
outreach every Saturday. I am so thankful and blessed that my
whole family now believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and is faithfully
serving Him. God truly is good and I give Him all the glory and
honor!” – Elsie Lapuz

Michael Saga has been changed by
the Lord and is turning out to be a faithful leader in the church.
I remember how hard his
heart was before he came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,
and how he opposed his mother and wife in the faith. It is so
encouraging to see how the Lord is teaching him to be a good
follower and obedient to His word. Now Michael faithfully leads
his family and they are active participants of the body. He always
supports me in the planning and execution of the programs that
are necessary for our growth. He also uses his computer skills
to help further the church’s progress. It is my prayer
God will continue to strengthen him and his family in their daily
walks with the Lord and that God will continually use him and
his family in the advancement of the work in this area.

The native Mangyan youth
have come to love and anticipate our summer youth camp, which
was held last month. They enjoy the
activities and the word of God. This year 20 youth confessed
Christ and two young men gave their lives to full-time ministry.
There were 128 Mangyan participants in all and 34 lowland youth.
I was very happy with the outcome of the camp and praise God
for giving us 20 young people to disciple and two full-time workers
for the coming year. To God be the glory.
Our leadership training
was not my primary focus this past month because of all the
activities. However, those who are being trained
were active participants in the aforementioned activity. This
really solidified our relationships, having worked together
for the good of the young people. The Lord has really given us
an
open door to every chief of every barangay in this area. These
chiefs are beginning to see the positive impact the word of
God has in the lives of the youth, in particular, and they are
very
grateful for it. – Pastor Danilo Macuha, Mindoro, Philippines |
