Testimonies

“I would like to share with you
how God has changed my life. Before I received Jesus Christ as
my Lord and Savior, I thought my life would be great. I grew
up in a Christian family and have been attending the Sunday services,
DVBS, Sunday school and youth camps. Yes! I always had much fun
attending these Christian activities but there was something
missing. My Sunday school teacher taught us about salvation and
that was when I understood. Since that day, I have learned to
appreciate, love, be humbled and contented in all things. God
has been teaching me so many things. He is the reason for my
existence and I know God has a great purpose for my being in
this world. I am so grateful and privileged for the talents He
has given me. I am teaching kids and am involved in a mission
organization called Operation Mobilization Philippines. Without
God, I can do nothing. Because of His grace, courage and strength
I have learned how to handle the young teens well. I received
the opportunity to be a part of the praise and worship team and
am now leading. God is just so good to me. He is slowly revealing
great things that glorify Him. This is my prayer—that God
will continue to use me and guide me in whatever or wherever
He wants. I pray for wisdom, strength, courage and guidance so
I will be able to pursue the ministry. All things are possible
with God. How good it is to give praise to Him. His love is beyond
measure. He is indeed great, awesome, unshakeable, unchangeable,
powerful, mighty and He deserves all glory, praises and thanksgiving.” – Johannah

Mrs. Daisy Pacana is married with
one daughter and one son. She
belongs to a Roman Catholic family, but her mother was converted
and became born again. When her mother became ill with colon
cancer, Daisy brought her to a hospital in Cebu City. Her mother
wanted to come to a Christian church during her hospital stay,
and so Daisy brought her to us. Her mother stayed for many months
and came to church Sunday after Sunday. When her physical condition
improved, she went back to Samar. We thought Daisy would not
return to us since her mother was no longer here. But to our
surprise, Daisy continued to attend church and later received
the Lord Jesus Christ! Her husband was amazed. He did not expect
this. Daisy is very happy in her new life in the Lord. He answered
her prayer for a job and she now works as a clerk in a veterinary
hospital. Please pray for her spiritual growth and for her husband’s
salvation.
- Pastor Junery Berden, Labangon, Cebu,
Philippines
"I
am 18 years old and the oldest of three. My father works
as a part-time welder and my mother is a housewife. She takes
good
care of us. I first heard the word of God in August 2009 through
Pastor Casuga. I attended a worship service one Sunday morning
in their newly built church which is near my home. As I was listening
to him, I started examining myself and realized I was doing many
things which were not pleasing in the eyes of God. I felt ashamed
of myself. I wanted to be changed. I also longed to study the
word of God more. That’s why I did not hesitate to accept
Pastor Casuga’s invitation to join a Bible study. Through
it, I have learned more about the word of God. I received Him
as my Lord and Savior. Being a Christian is not easy, especially
as a teenager. There are many times when I am persecuted by my
peers. But I thank God for the strength He continues to give
me. I also thank Him for giving me the courage and boldness to
share His word with my fellow classmates despite what I face.
I am glad God is not letting His word return void. As of now,
I have three classmates who are attending Bible study. I pray
there will be more to join us. Glory to His name!” – Joan
