Testimonies
from the Fields
“I received Christ on February
13, after being in the hospital with no hope. While I was there,
Pastor Santillan and Gustavo visited me and gave me a Bible,
which I read every day, not knowing the Lord would soon be revealing
its meaning to me. One evening, Ramona (Gustavo’s wife)
visited me and told me that I needed Christ and that I needed
to repent from my sins—and that is what I did! Three days
later, I woke up to find my fever had left and the doctors discharged
me, by the grace of God. My life changed from that moment on.
I believe everyone needs to know about Jesus and seek His forgiveness.
Pastor Santillan has helped me to know more about the Lord and
to comprehend what the Lord wants from us. We need to be messengers
of His word! It is a great blessing for me to have fellowship
with brethren, listen to the Word and praise Him for all the
things He does during the week. I am struggling with temptation,
but this causes me to pray more and do my best, depending on
the Lord. I am very thankful to Him for each day I have and for
the opportunity to know Him through His word. I was very bad,
but He helps me! I am trying to be involved in the ministries
of the church for the glory of God. Please pray for those who
are spiritually and physically sick and for the brethren of the
church.” – Jose Paz

“My name is Nene Hivas and I am 20 years old. I thank God that
it was not too late for me to know Christ personally. I grew
up on the street and had to earn a living for myself, otherwise
I would starve to death. Life on the streets was cruel at times.
I learned to bad things just to live. Neither of my parents cares,
so I became hooked to different vices. Life had no meaning or
direction until I met Pastor Wao and Pablo. They both shared
the good news with me. When I heard the message of salvation
from sin, I was silenced. I discovered my religion could not
save me; it is only Jesus who can set me free from the bondage
of sin. Thanks to God I am free and have joined the fellowship
here. Now I am eager to share the good news about salvation with
my family members and friends who live on the streets. Please
pray for the salvation of my parents.” Nene attends Pastor

"I am 16 years old. I remember receiving
Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior after hearing God’s
word on Easter Sunday. Since then, there have been many changes
in my life. I have learned
to rely on the Lord for help when I am desperate and in the middle
of difficult situations. I also get to share God’s message
of salvation with others. It is so wonderful being a child of
God and helping others to see Him too. Just as any believer would
do, I have devoted my time, effort and strength to be used for
the glory of God. My exposure and involvement in church activities
have helped me improve my talents and attitude. I have learned
to become humble as I deal with other people, especially with
those who are younger than I am. I really thank God that He called
me in my teen years. The year leading up to my salvation, I was
really lost. I thank God it was not too late for me to know Him.
Somehow I could sense God was telling me He was the only one
to get me out of that situation. Please pray for me, that the
Lord will use me mightily in His kingdom. I am involved in many
activities and desire to be used in the area of the children’s
ministry.” – Rubyann
