Testimonies
from the Fields
“As a church planter, I am praising
God for what He has done for the ministry here. I have been here
more than a year and a half and I have seen the changes that
have taken place as God moves in the lives of the people—lives
that were once hopeless and meaningless. But by God’s power,
hope and meaning have been restored. Yes, there have been difficulties
and sicknesses, but the presence of God and His provisions have
not left us throughout the year. God has also provided us with
people who are now working alongside me in the ministry. We are
so thankful to God for White Fields who has been faithful in
supporting this ministry. Through the grace of God, many lives
have been changed, families strengthened and hope given. Children
are being taught God’s word. The ministry has become a
partner for the parents in the raising of their children. These
parents have become actively involved, especially in the studying
of God’s word. We believe this has greatly influenced their
way of raising their offspring.”

“Our newest contact is Mrs. Segunda Taghoy. I met her at
the daycare center where both our daughters attend. She was very
defensive
in her beliefs when we first met. But despite this, she allowed
us to open a Bible study in her home. Right now, we have a regular
Bible study there every Sunday. Members of her family are also
present. They are even inviting others to attend. As a new group,
I started to teach them the very basics of salvation. Christ
is being clearly presented. It is still too early to tell if
these people are responding in their hearts, but I pray the Lord
will be at work so that they may truly understand the gospel.
Please pray with us.”
– Pastor Freddie Guinang, Matalom,
Leyte, Philippines “
Our newest contact is the family of one of our members, Alvin
Roque. Alvin thanks God that He answered his prayer to open a
Bible study in their family home. His family members are devoted
Roman Catholics and he’s had a hard time convincing them
to study the Bible. But God showed that nothing is impossible
for Him. It was last month that Alvin told me the news. His mother
and one of his sisters attended, as well as his four nieces and
his sister’s maid. I shared the gospel with them.
I thank
God that He opened their hearts to His word. Before we parted,
they surrendered their lives to God and received Him
as Lord and Savior. But it wasn’t only them that God saved.
We held another Bible study the following week. We were very
glad there were two new attendees—Alvin’s other sister
and his niece. They, too, received Christ. We now have a regular
Bible study in their home every Friday at 4:00 p.m. Please pray
for their spiritual growth and for the salvation of the entire
family.”
