Testimonies
from the Fields
“God is using my children in the music ministry. I thank
God for all the things He is doing for my family. Even though life
is hard, God’s blessings abound. He always answers our prayers
and supplies all our needs. I thank Him for protecting my husband,
who is the mayor’s bodyguard. I know that his life is at
risk, but God’s guidance is with him. The Lord is teaching
us to put everything in His care. Please pray for my family and
me. I desire to help the church in whatever capacity I can. Please
pray for the Lord’s direction in my life.” – Babyjane

I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and had become very active
in the fellowship. During this time, I fell into sin. I had an
affair
with a man who I thought was my prince charming. I stopped attending
church and went to Manila because I had shamed my parents. While
I was in Manila, I found out I was pregnant, so I returned to Leyte
and stayed with the parents of the father. After the birth of my
baby, the father left me and the child. I had no other choice but
to return to my parents. I asked their forgiveness, and I thank
God that although they were very mad, they received me back into
their home. Many months after that, I longed for Christian fellowship.
When
I heard that there was a Bible study in my neighborhood, I asked
if I could attend—and they said yes. After three days,
Pastor Elizer visited my house and prayed with my parents. Thank
God! On that day, my mother, Erlinda, received the Lord! It was
a happy day for me because my mother and I now worship the same
God. Currently, I am one of six students in the local church-based
training center (for livelihoods). Thank God that He sent Pastor
Elizer and his whole family to this place. Please pray for me,
that the Lord will use me in ministry. Pray also that as a single
parent, I can raise my child in the ways of the Lord.” – Jennifer

“
I am a sophomore in high school. I am the eldest of four children—two
boys and two girls. I came to the saving knowledge of the Lord
Jesus Christ last February (2009) in San Agustin, Aroroy. I have
attended the youth camp held in Umoroy, Masbate and was baptized
afterwards. My life has never been the same again. I admit that
I am very young in Christ. Since I came to know the Lord, I have
encountered a lot of struggles as a result of my faith, one of
which is my family’s misconception about my spiritual life.
My parents are always telling me that I have gone astray because
I changed my religion. But respectfully I tell them it is not through
religion that I am saved—it is through faith in the person
of the Lord Jesus Christ. Despite their differing views, my parents
do not hinder me from attending church—for which I am thankful.
I am very grateful to the Lord for the privilege He has given me
through knowing Him.
I have been set free from all the works and
attacks of the enemy. I am learning about the Bible, God and my
relationship with Him.
I have learned that He created me as a special being. Having learned
that, I am more confident and do my best in my studies and desire
to finish and have a bright future. Please pray for the salvation
of my parents.” – Arnel Romano Arnel attends Pastor
