Testimonies
from the Fields
During this past month, I visited several patients and prayed
for them. I thank God that most of them have recovered. One of
them was suffering from leg paralysis and was brought to me by
one of my members,
Aung. He asked for prayer for both spiritual and physical healing.
After many fervent prayers, he received the healing of God and
believed in Him as his Savior. He shared, “At first I met
Aung and he shared Jesus the great physician with me. From that
time my heart was touched very deeply because I had been suffering
from paralysis for several years. When I was brought to Pastor
Goh, he also shared Jesus with me and prayed for me. I can now
walk. Praise the Lord.” He shares his testimony again and
again. He always comes to church and is ready for baptism. Praise
God for this.

The word of God is good and true. I can say this because of His
work in the life of my eldest son Von Jovi (VJ). A few months
ago, VJ took the entrance exam for college so that his tuition
would be less expensive, but he was unable to pass it. In spite
of his eagerness to go to college, he was not discouraged. We
are so grateful that he understands our financial situation.
As time passed, VJ began to wonder why he wanted to study engineering.
He always came up with the same answer—to find a better
job. In the back of his mind, he was remembering my suggestion
of going to Bible college. I had suggested this because of his
love and passion for music and the youth ministry. But, he didn’t
want to consider it before because all he wanted to do was go
to the university. Then one Saturday evening after music practice,
he came home excited and told me he was ready to pursue Bible
school! My wife and I are happy for him, yet we will miss him
because he will be gone for six months straight. Since then,
Pastor Leo has confirmed VJ’s admission to Lucena Bible
School. One of our brothers from the church sent an amount to
cover all his needs! Please pray VJ will be able to finish this
course of study successfully and for the glory of the Lord.

Mr. Oo is 80 years old
and suffering from heart disease. He knows he may not live long,
so I have talked with him about life after death. He has no assurance
of his life. So he asked me many questions and I responded with
biblical answers. I asked him if he thought good deeds could
save a person, or if he ever committed sin and he sorrowfully
replied, “No, I don’t think so. I commit many sins
and I was looking for the way to be saved. But I never found
it until today. All that you have told me is very interesting.” I
have visited him several times and have shared the way of salvation.
I thank God that he confessed his sins and received Jesus Christ
as Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord.
