Testimonies

“I am 18 years old and have been saved from two life-threatening
times. One was at birth; I was severely dehydrated and hospitalized.
When I was brought home, while in bed, my foot hit a kerosene lamp
that was nearby and parts of my body were burned. I thank God that
I survived. I grew up in a Christian household and was dedicated
to the Lord when I was small. When I became a teenager I gave my
life to the Lord and trusted in Him. I was baptized as a symbol
of my obedience to God. Now I serve the Lord in the music ministry.
I am a drummer and sometimes play the guitar. I desire that the
Lord will continue to use me as an effective witness of His love
and greatness.” – Reynante Medina

“
I considered myself an inactive Christian. I thought it was enough
for me to know Christ, but not be tied up to church duties. I had
not yet fully understood that Christ needed to be Lord of my life.
For many years, I struggled with sin and always ended up defeated.
I concluded that it was difficult to be a Christian, but I had
to keep on. After all, they said that my reward would be in heaven.
This kind of thinking deprived me of the abundant life that Jesus
Christ promised. I did not know that such thinking was part of
the devil’s lie. When our church conducted a spiritual warfare
seminar, my mind was opened and I realized the full meaning of
Christ’s death—that it has a significant implication.
We can be victorious Christians here and now because Satan has
already been defeated even if he would have us believe otherwise.
I had to go through a cleansing process that included giving up
smoking and alcohol and many other things, which affected my relationship
to my Creator and Savior. Today I am very much involved in the
ministry as a Sunday school teacher. Please pray for the Lord to
bring more souls to our ministry in this area.” – Nestor

"I
grew up in a Buddhist family. I have gone through many difficulties
since childhood. Though my parents loved me very much and provided
whatever I wanted and needed, I still suffered difficulties in
my heart. I had no peace. Fortunately, my older sister had become
a Christian. I was very angry with her when she became a Christian;
I felt that she was no longer my sister. After a few months, Pastor
Goh came and taught us about Jesus. I had thought that Jesus was
just like one of our monks, but the Lord taught me in my heart,
and I believed that Jesus is the living God. Since then all of
my depression is gone, and I have a peaceful, joyful life that
is hard for me to explain. Please pray for the salvation of my
family members and for my future life, that I may always follow
and worship God. I think about those who do not know Jesus Christ
and the living God and want to bring them to Christ also." -
