Rodette Ancheta
“I am the oldest child
of two in my family. I am now in my second year of high school
at
Redeeming
Grace Learning
Center.
I was five years old when I first started attending Sunday school
and was raised in a Christian household. But this fact did not
make me closer to God as I grew up. My peers influenced me more.
I did not attend church for almost a year when my parents were
having troubles.
Then I met Pastor Michael, who encouraged us to
go back to the Lord. Now we are active in ministry, although I
attend Pastor Michael’s church and my mother has returned
to our old church. I see the hand of the Lord working in my life.
I was made to believe that when you grow up in a Christian family,
that makes you Christian. But God showed me that salvation is personal.
I received the Lord Jesus Christ—this time it was real and
I surrendered my life to Him. Please pray that the Lord will use
me in bringing the gospel to my unbelieving classmates.” – Rodette

Emelita Garciano
"I grew up as a Roman Catholic.
During high school I became a member of a charismatic movement,
but there were no changes in
my life.
One day, I decided to go to Cebu City to look for a job. The Lord
led me to a tourist agency owned by a Japanese man and his wife.
They are believers. Every Sunday she would ask me to go to church.
Looking back I see how, little by little, God spoke to my heart.
After a month, Pastor Berden offered to hold a Bible study in my
boarding house. That was when I received Jesus Christ into my life.
Now I am attending the Bible study and I am participating in on-going
discipleship training. I really praise God for saving me and changing
my life.” – Emelita Garciano

Adidas Manday
Adidas
Manday is one of our promising youth in the Tribal Mission. He
is the team leader in every school activity. Adidas states, “I
am a student at Tadyawan Minority School. I am 19 years old, but
still in the sixth grade. I have been hearing the word of God since
I was a kid, but have had a hard time understanding it because
it is always spoken in Tagalog. We, being minorities, have our
own dialect.
"But thank God that He paved the way for me to continue
my studies. In school, I hear God’s word through His servant
Pastor Danilo Macuha. By God’s grace and Pastor Danilo’s
persistence in helping us to understand the message of salvation,
I am now
a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I received Him as my Lord
and Savior. Now I am one of the leaders of the youth; I help the
pastor in bringing God’s word to our school through a Bible
study. Please pray for me, that by God’s grace I may be able
to finish my studies.”
