Testimonies from the Fields

God is answering our prayers. We are finding that more and more people are seeking the true God after the Nargis cyclone. Ma Lwin, a converted Buddhist, was baptized in August. I thank God that she has been growing in faith and attends our weekly services. She says, “I can not comprehend God’s love. The joy that He gives me is very different from my former life; now my empty heart is filled with joy. Though my family struggles to survive, I trust that God will not forsake us or leave us alone. He knows our condition—our infirmities and difficulties. I know clearly that He can provide our needs in time. Thank you so much.”

“I received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my whole life. God has started to change my life and I thank Him for what He has done on the cross at Calvary. I thank God for using Reverend Ambag who shared the good news. Please pray that I will grow spiritually and continue to be a faithful follower of our Master. Pray that I will become a useful Christian in our Fellowship Center. Pray also that God will use me to share the good news with my unsaved loved ones.”

Mary Ann Cui has recently graduated from high school and is the eldest of three children. She came to know the Lord at the Bible study held in her aunt’s home in July 2007. She says, “Pastor Ely shared about the love of God. He talked about salvation from sin, hell and heaven. He and his wife, Nanette, are very instrumental in my spiritual growth. They visit us often to share God’s word. I praise the Lord that He has given me the chance to know Him. Please pray that the Lord will use me effectively in this ministry as I desire to help our local church.”
