Testimonies
from the Fields
Gabriel Job Hari
The following is a personal testimony of 24-year-old Gabriel Job
Hari: “I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior
in 2005. In the beginning of 2007, I was diagnosed with cancer.
It was hard to accept that of all the people here on earth I would
have this terminal disease. My family was grieved. There were times
when I asked God, “Why me?” But God has given me perspective
and His grace enables me to bear the pain. I have been to many
hospitals for treatment. Although my family is not well-off financially,
they have found ways to buy my medications. God is great! He uses
people to supply our needs. We don’t know where some of the
help comes from, but we know that God is the Provider. I am indeed
thankful that God has saved my soul and am grateful for the fact
that when I leave this life, I will be with Him for eternity. Please
pray that God will continue to supply my medications and for my
family members whoare not saved.”

Pastor Virgilio Villamin
It was in April of 2006 that I
decided to follow God’s call
to plant a church. I went to the place to which He had called
me, and I felt as though I had entered a great war—war with
difficult circumstances, discouragements and opposition from religions
that
are resistant to the word of God. During my first three months,
Satan was very active in trying to stop the work. My wife and
I became very ill. Then we experienced financial shortage. I lost
hope many times. I asked the Lord to help me. I prayed that He
would help me start this church. I praise the Lord that He answered
all my prayers. He has given
us members and workers in the church—even a church building!
God taught me to trust, to wait and to be faithful to the task
that He had given to me.

Gaspar
The following is Gaspar’s testimony from Pastor Diaz’s
church plant: “I came to know the Lord Jesus as my personal
Savior at a movie night in my neighborhood. Since then, I have
separated myself from bad friends and the vices that held my life
(tobacco, alcohol and drugs). The pastor has helped me to direct
my new life, teaching me the doctrines of the word of God. He also
helped me to become involved in the church. He has had a lot to
do with the growth of my spiritual life. I thank God for the great
salvation and for His love, mercy, forgiveness
and the happiness He has given me. In gratitude, I am serving Him
in the local church. I ask for prayers for my neighborhood and
for economic stability."
