Testimonies
from the Fields
Rowena Melchor “ My name is Rowena
Melchor, a native of Bukidnon province. I am married with three
children. I work part-time
as a travel agent, and my husband is a truck driver. I believed
I was a woman of God until Pastor Ilagan and his wife conducted
a Bible study in our home. I have now surrendered my life to our
Lord Jesus and made Him my personal Savior. Now I have the assurance
of salvation and understand that being religious will not get me
to heaven. It is through faith alone. I know there are many things
I need to learn in order to grow in the Lord, so I make it a point
to always attend Bible study. Thank God that I was able to know
the truth through Pastor Ilagan. I pray that He will continue to
guide us as we learn to walk in His ways.

Mr. Naing
Pastor Goh and his members
actively share the Gospel with their family, friends and neighbors.
One member had
been witnessing to his good friend, Mr. Naing, who after time placed
his trust in Jesus. Mr. Naing testifies, “While I served
as a monk, I had no peace in my heart. But now, I really thank
the Lord that I have peace. I am very happy that I can worship
the true and living God now. Though I am very poor, I have Jesus—which
means I have everything. Praise the Lord!”

Pastor
Emmanuel Casabar
“ From the age of three, I lived with my
grandmother who gave me everything I wanted. I was her favorite
so I grew up spoiled, enjoying everything I desired. This “privilege” opened
the door to a way of life that slowly destroyed me. I was involved
in illegal drugs, alcohol and had bad friends. “Eat and drink
and be merry” was my motto during that period of my life.
Yet, despite that so-called happy life, I felt worthless. I reached
the lowest part of my life—I wanted to commit suicide. I
thought death would be the answer. I had heard the gospel while
growing up and it was at this time that I remembered God. I remembered
who He is and I called on Him in submission. I was 19 years old.
I realized then that my life has value in the Lord Jesus Christ.
My heart was changed. To God be the glory!”

Emmanuel Casabar, Philippines)
